It's important that ...Beautiful story, Crystal! It's important that you do things the way that work for your life and I love that you continue to choose each other! I don't believe there's any such thing as living in sin when two people love each other. Better living together before marriage than marrying the wrong person (still possible, but much less likely!). Congratulations on your impending wedding. Wonderful and exciting!Kara Sjoblom-Bayhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14882356539883223683noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8304863520466310433.post-34594793823848224562015-02-27T15:29:04.735-05:002015-02-27T15:29:04.735-05:00I have to laugh about the "living in sin"...I have to laugh about the "living in sin" part - my husband and I had to live together a couple of years before we got married, because he had to divorce his wife. (I'm not a homewrecker, they were already split up when he met me and she was already pregnant by another guy!)

At our wedding, one of the guests was a reverend. Now, keeping in mind that I had never met this man before and hadn't invited him or his family to my wedding or reception, he decided before we started eating that we should pray before the food. Ok, I'm cool with that. THEN - he wanted my husband and I to come up and repent of our sins so we could start our marriage with a clean slate! I was gobsmacked. We both flat out refused, my mother-in-law started crying.... (she's the one who invited him and his family, and I'm pretty sure the whole repentance thing was why!)

Looking back, it's hilarious and we laugh about it pretty often, but at the time, I was furious! Oh you must have your hands full! ...53 weeks apart! Oh you must have your hands full! I hope they are at least buddy's!
We knew we wanted to get married. We talked about it a few times. Like you, it took the back seat. Now it is time to make it official. I want my children to have the same last name as both him and I. If I didn't have the children, I wouldn't care as much I don''t think.
I am so glad you liked my story! Good vibes your way for your happy ending! Happy Friday!Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11494559352879455896noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8304863520466310433.post-74222385516654971662015-02-27T12:25:41.854-05:002015-02-27T12:25:41.854-05:00Thanks for sharing, it's a sweet story. Mine is pretty similar, we had 2 boys born 53 weeks apart and have officially been together for 3.5 years...we knew each other casually (running in similar circles) for about 5 years. We planned the 1 st baby, not the second, but I wouldn't change a thing. Getting married, or even engaged first has taken a back seat, but I hope my love story end up like yours soon! BTW...what's been non-traditional is certainly becoming the norm (i.e. babies before marriage).

Oh and the other thing on the K-I-S-S-I-N-G song...when I was a kid we always stopped at "baby carriage!" LOL! I never knew there were a couple more lines!Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06378126940959053072noreply@blogger.com
